Pollinators' Rain Garden
Create a vibrant outdoor classroom where children can discover bees, butterflies and other pollinators while learning how gardens can adapt to climate change.
Educational activities will include:
- Exploring a giant flower while dressed as bees
- Safely observing our honey bee hives
- Learning the famous bee “waggle dance”
- Identifying insects visiting different flowers
- Investigating colour, scent and pollinator behaviour
- Hand-pollinating flowers to understand plant reproduction
By learning through play, children develop a deeper appreciation for biodiversity and the vital role pollinators play in supporting healthy ecosystems.
